Course Description
With over 1.5 million not-for-profit organizations in the United States, and approximately 20 million board members (continuously rotating), it is highly possible you will be asked to serve on the board of directors of a nonprofit organization at some point in your lifetime. Get the foundational understanding you need so you know what is expected of you and how to be effective. Serving on a board is your contribution to the community so get equipped! If you have never served on a nonprofit board or if you have served on a nonprofit board, this class is for you. No two boards are alike, and neither are the organizations or the individuals who serve them. A formal training is necessary. This experiential, innovative, and fun class is like nothing you have attended before. With the game simulation, breakout session activities, Q&A discussions, and participant materials, you will learn new things, synthesize existing knowledge with action, build a new peer network, and have FUN in the process. Cancellation Policy
No refunds are provided. Participants may cancel up to one week before the start time of the registered session. This will entitle the participant to attend a future session occurring within 60 days of the original session. The email must include the future date in which the participant will attend. The Company will do its best to accommodate the requested date in consideration of the available space. Cancellation notice must be sent to and received by the Company at cancellations@501cimpact.com by the described deadline. Participants who cancel within seven days of the registered session forfeit their registration and may not attend a future session. Cancellation notice must be sent to and received by the Company at cancellations@501cimpact.com. Any participant who fails to attend the course and has not provided any cancellation notice shall forfeit their registration and will not receive a refund.
